Thank you for your interest in the Ultimate Rectifier, we do not have an plug & play solution for the earlier VMAX 1200 but you can use the Ultimate Rectifier on any 1 or 3 phase permanent magnet stator in combination with a 12V battery. If the VMAX has stator and regulator issues I would recommend you using our newer MOSFET SERIES type that will reduce load on the stator and runs much cooler than the OEM regulator from the VMAX.
The only issue here is that a MOSFET SERIES type has a lot more components than a regular regulator and therefore can’t yet be made in a small housing that the VMAX 1200 needs.
If you or your club wants to use the UR you need to check if the UR-SR-101 fit’s on the same regulator mounting location and you should change the connector to make if it.
If you do that I can assure you that it will be a much better solution than the OEM regulator on the VMAX. The needed connectors and terminals are delivered with the UR-SR-101.
